Reinventing the wheel for a zero emissions Renaissance.

Gridlock in a typical urban jungle, dumping tons of CO2 every second. When many people think about the challenge we face with global warming, they think first about transportation – namely, our cars. It’s now pretty common knowledge that carbon dioxide emitted by conventional automobiles is one of the gases contributing to the greenhouse effect; though there are a number of sources for this increase in CO2, we need to do something about how we move around. Air travel is actually one of the worst offenders, dumping carbon right into the upper atmosphere – since carbon dioxide is heavier than most of the air, it takes a very long time to get from the ground to where it can do the most damage. Companies like Tesla Motors are making electric cars awesome. The greatest hope toward emissions-free transportation seems to be in clean-running electric motors powered by batteries.
